 AFDIMYCIN consists of drugs that exhibit bacteriostatic (stops bacterial growth) as well as bactericide (kills bacteria) properties depending on the drug concentration, thus preventing infections.

Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URI) can be defines as self-limited irritation and swelling of the upper airways with associated cough which is caused by a variety of virus and bacteria. It involves the nose, sinuses, pharynx, larynx, and the large airways. 

Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (LRI) is also caused by a number of viruses and bacteria and involves the trachea, bronchial tree and lungs. The lower respiratory tract infection are comparatively more serious that upper respiratory tract infection. 

Otitis media is the inflammation or infection in the middle of ear. It is usually caused due to cold, cough, sore throat, and respiratory tract infection.  

Other than being a bacteriostatic, AFDIMYCIN are also effective against Upper and Lower Respiratory Tract Infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media.  

The dosage of AFDIMYCIN for bacterial infection should be between 5 to 10 days depending the type of infection and its severity.
