We are proud to be one of the few companies in India to have a history of hundred years.

1923- First Year

  • Company incorporated as a Private Limited firm by an English and Frenchman, Mr. George Albert Watkins and Mr.Edward Crosy Pereira

1942

  • Registration of Trade Marks Epilan/ Papyta and Company logo
  • Registration of Beplex range of products. Pioneer in promoting B-Complex Tablets

1954/ 55

  • First Manufacturing facility put up in Mumbai

1959

  •  Became member of Indian Drug Manufacturers Association Company

1963

  • Started providing services in countries Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nigeria, Gyana, Pakistan, Burma, Bangkok

1967

  •  First Development Laboratories started in Mumbai

1973/ 74

  • Manufacturing activities commenced at Rajan House, Mumbai and Bangalore. Successful introduction of Syu (protein supplement).
  • Company celebrates 50 years of incorporation

1977

  • Bulk Drug development Plant setup in Bangalore

1985

  • Kanorias take over the Company.
  • First Indian Shri. Ajay Kumar Kanoria appointed as Chairman of the Company

1988

  • Mr. Abhay Kanoria invited to Board

1993

  • Public issue of shares/ debentures by Company

1996

  • Tableting facility put up in Peenya, Bangalore
  • WHO GMP Recognition every two years

1997

  • IDMA Excellency Award (1997,2004,2010)

2000

  • Company entered into Generics market

2001

  • Herbal Division Launched

2011

  • OPTIMA Division Launched

2014

  • AWACS Award for Marketing Excellence

 

2016

  • Among Top 3 Companies nominated for Excellence in HR –
